Training Standards & Development

One standard. Every program.

Each Draganfly platform gets a Platform Qualification Standard (PQS) — one document defining every task a qualified pilot must perform, to what measurable standard, where it is trained, and how it is evaluated. The same standard produces all six training programs — initial, recurrent, transition, mission-specific, customer, and instructor — each one built by applying a rule to the same task list, so they stay consistent with each other and each is faster to build than the last.

This site is the working demonstration: the standard, the system that derives every program from it, the instructor and records machinery around it, and two complete courses in the learning management system (LMS).

PLATFORM QUALIFICATION STANDARD One Document per Aircraft, Built from the Manuals Task · Measurable Standard · Proficiency Code · Venue · Evaluation · Source Reference Initial Recurrent Transition Mission-specific Customer Instructor Six programs, one source. Change the standard once and every derived program — courses, exams, evaluations, records — updates with it.

Every course follows the same sequence

Ground school first, then flight training — in the same order on every platform: 1. Operating Limitations  2. Immediate Action Memory Items  3. Aircraft & Payload Systems  4. Normal Operations — takeoff, landing, VLOS flying  5. Emergency Procedures  6. Mission-Specific Operations, including mission planning.

What’s on this site

Page What it defines The working sample inside
The Training System How one standard per aircraft generates all six programs. What actually has to be retrained moving a pilot from the Heavy Lift to the Commander 3XL, and a 30/60/90 execution plan.
Qualification Standards The standard itself — every task measurable, every task cited to a manual section. PQS-HL-01 — the Heavy Lift’s qualification standard, complete: 45 tasks built from the Heavy Lift Operator’s Manual and the Herelink GCS Pilot’s Manual.
Instructor Standardization How multiple instructors grade the same flight the same way. A written grading standard with a worked Manual landing entry, the qualification path from candidate to evaluator, and the calibration method.
Currency & Records Who is current to fly what, and the record that proves it. The data model, a sample signed grade sheet, and a working prototype of the currency matrix.
Courses The output — training programs derived task-for-task from the standard. HL-IQ-01 pilot initial qualification and IP-IQ-01 instructor qualification, both live in the LMS.

Two working courses

Both courses run in the learning management system (LMS), derived task-for-task from PQS-HL-01, the Heavy Lift’s qualification standard. HL-IQ-01 is the full pilot initial qualification for the Heavy Lift, built in the sequence above; IP-IQ-01 is the leaner instructor qualification that teaches how to deliver and grade it.
